Circle #2 – One learning week at MateraHub

After hosting the Join Staff Training Event last April, in Matera was held the The Second Circle training week from the 6th to the 10th of June.

The event was attended by 15 participants, 5 for each partner country of the project (Italy, Romania and Spain).

The Second Circle training week was focused on using creativity as the ultimate renewable resource in order to build resilience and creative thinking for problem solving and reviewing the webinars on entrepreneurship and digitalization, in order to consolidate the information, to offer clarity on the tools and how they can be used as well as to support participants in identifying the right steps in developing their business/idea.

The trainers who took turns in those 5 days captured the interest of the participants with the use of theoretical pills and practical exercises, case studies, use of success stories and practical examples, following the learning by doing approach.

Going more specifically, the workshops ranged from talking about the well-being of a creative entrepreneur to showing an innovative business model called the Creative Project Canvas, from sustainable development and a business model built on it named The Triple Model Canvas to the circular economy. In addition, the trainers illustrated digital marketing, innovation and digital trends and two interesting techniques, the Perma model and the 6 Thinking Hats.

The participants, after each lesson, were involved individually or in group in different kind of activities to talk about their personal entrepreneurial models and skills, to use the tools and methodologies presented by the trainers in order to improve creatives capacity to strategise/manage their activities and become more resilient to challenging situations, to learn creative thinking skills, creative problem solving that will help them ideate innovative solutions to challenging problems and digital skills that will push them become more agile in offering their products/services.

It was great to meet up after the conditions in which we lived in the past 2 years and the impossibility of traveling the participants, that had the chance to enrich their networks with new collaborations, stated that during the week they had the unique opportunity to learn more about their personal and professional well-being, their strengths and weaknesses and to review their objectives in a new light, setting concrete goals that they will pursue with a new motivation towards success and important achievements, looking forward to being more successful entrepreneurs!
